The PLUS Framework

Promoting Learning and Upskilling for Success (PLUS) is a competency-based, transformative education and training model designed to foster academic achievement and career success by adult learners and working professionals (ALWPs). PLUS emphasizes equipping ALWPs with the knowledge, skills, and competencies needed to overcome structural and socio-economic barriers that impede their progress and advancement.

PLUS places focus on facilitating the sustainable implementation and institutional anchoring of the following high-performance practices:

  • Innovative Education & Training: Facilitate holistic approaches to close gaps in skill development, workforce participation, and economic mobility of ALWPs.
  • Adaptive & Culture-responsive Pedagogy: Catalyze the development of robust education, policies and practices that enable learners of all backgrounds to gain the skills required to thrive in today’s workforce.
  • Comprehensive & Tailored Learning Support: Provide flexible learning options, tailored resources, and multifaceted skill-building environments designed to address unique challenges and empower learners to achieve academic, professional, and personal success.
